SAFEGUARDING AND CHILD PROTECTION
We have an extensive Safeguarding policy and procedure which is implemented by all staff. We have 5 Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) who are on site. They are Milly Willis, Jodie Prinsep, Sarah-Jayne Allen, Sophie Wood, Meagan Standley and Rachael Rose. Should we have any concerns about suspected abuse we will follow our Safeguarding policy and procedure.
We are able to work with parents and offer support where it does not meet the threshold to be supported by further professionals. We support children from all backgrounds including children who are Looked After Children (LAC). We are here to also offer support and signpost you to the relevant agencies should you require any intervention using Right Help, Right Time as a guide.

Our Policy
These are the 7 guiding principles of Safeguarding, as stated by Birmingham Safeguarding Children Board (found in Right Help Right time) and what we use to ensure children’s safety and wellbeing is paramount:

-
Have conversations and listen to children and their families as early as possible.
-
Understand the child’s lived experience.
-
Work collaboratively to improve children’s life experience.
-
Be open, honest and transparent with families in our approach.
-
Empower families by working with them.
-
Work in a way that builds on the families’ strengths.
-
Build resilience in families to overcome difficulties.

It is very normal to experience different life experiences some of which can be traumatic, this can lead to life becoming very stressful and have an impact on different aspects. This is where we can support you with different agencies using an Early Help Assessment as a tool to figure out exactly what agencies may be of help and support to get you through the other side, with that extra bit of support.

7 Guiding Principles

We request upon admission that you share any experiences you have had where you have been supported by Social Workers and/or Family Support Workers. This just enables us to support you in a holistic way.

As part of our Safeguarding policy and procedure, please ensure you do not let anyone in to the building.
